I really love to take long exposure photos and winter is one of those seasons that make it easy to work with picture at night.
These few pics I made just after new year by my house. Spent some time freezing but I think it was worth it. These were not done for quality, I was just experimenting with long exposures and trying out my dslr just to see what happens. All of the pictures were done with a 30sec exposure and an f - 4.5. The blueish color on the snow is coming from the Christmas lights on our house.
The picture below is one of my favorites just because you can see the clouds moving and it was night filled with stars in the sky.
This one here is kind of orangy because the light is coming from the street lamp.
This one below is an example of when the street lamp light meets the different colors from the Christmas lights on the house. You can see all of the interesting colors here.
